                              'Tis the night before Christmas,
                        And all through the house,
               Not a creature is stirring,
          Not even a mouse.

A fire is crackling,
So warm and bright,
It pushes out darkness,
And brings in the light.

The town is so silent,
The air so cold,
Yet I bet you're not worried,
Of the tale I've just told.

If you haven't forgotten,
It's year 2012,
And the gift you'll be given,
Is not made by elves.

It's ash that is falling,
Not clumps of snow.
And those things that are burning?
       Well...
You'd rather not know.

Suddenly you wonder:
“What's gone to my head?”
But it doesn't really matter,
        'Cause you're already dead.

Darkness has fallen,
                       Forevermore.
The heavens are covered,
Like never before.

The apocalypse is here.
Our time has come.
So say your goodbyes,
Since there's no time to run.

Tuck in the children,
Turn out the light.

            Merry Christmas, everyone.

                           Let's hope we're not right.
I was listening to MrCreepyPasta on Youtube last night, and his recent Christmas reads got me inspired to write something of my own.

If you want to listen to Christmas music while reading it, I'd say Greensleeves or Silent Night would probably be best c:

I personally don't believe in the 2012 apocalypse. Maybe they made their mysterious disappearance while working on 2012. But hey, you never know, right?
